These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Montis.icu, including its website, applications, athlete analytics, coaching tools, connected-account services, APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) services and AI-assisted reporting features (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

02 · Athlete safety
Training guidance is not medical advice
Montis.icu is an endurance-training and analytics service. It is not a medical service and does not diagnose, treat or prevent disease, injury or other medical conditions.
Coaching guidance, readiness states, forecasts, training suggestions, physiological interpretations and generated insights are provided for informational and educational purposes.
- They do not constitute medical advice.
- They do not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
- They may be incomplete, uncertain or incorrect.
- Physiological measurements may contain device or source-data errors.
- Training response differs between individuals.
Seek appropriate professional advice where symptoms, injury, illness, medication, pregnancy, cardiovascular risk or other health considerations may affect training.
03 · Your responsibility
You remain responsible for training decisions.
You are responsible for evaluating whether any training session, recommendation, event plan or other action is appropriate for you.
You remain responsible for:
- your health, safety and wellbeing;
- your training choices and training intensity;
- race and event participation;
- the accuracy of information you provide;
- reviewing workouts before performing them;
- reviewing calendar changes before relying on them;
- using appropriate equipment and safety precautions; and
- seeking professional advice where appropriate.
Montis.icu does not guarantee performance improvement, race results, fitness gains, successful adaptation or injury prevention.
04 · AI-assisted services
AI is an interface to the system, not an infallible authority.
Montis may make structured athlete information and Montis-derived outputs available to supported artificial-intelligence systems, including Large Language Models ("LLMs"), for explanation, summarisation, interaction and coaching presentation.
AI systems may:
- misinterpret information;
- produce inaccurate or incomplete responses;
- omit relevant context;
- generate language not directly supported by the underlying data; or
- behave differently as third-party models are updated.
Where Montis exposes structured metrics, forecasts or decision states, the AI interface should not be treated as an independent source of physiological measurement.
You should review AI-generated guidance critically before acting upon it.
05 · Tool and calendar actions
Some features can perform actions on connected services.
Certain Montis tools may be capable of creating, modifying or deleting information on supported third-party services, including workouts, calendar entries or athlete-related settings.
Where an action requires your approval or instruction, you are responsible for reviewing the requested operation before authorising it.
You should verify important calendar, race and workout information after automated or AI-assisted changes have been made.
06 · Connected accounts
OAuth and third-party account access
Certain features require you to connect an account with a supported third-party service, including Intervals.icu.
When you connect an account:
- you authorise Montis to access permitted data on your behalf;
- access is limited to the permissions made available by the connection;
- your third-party password is not provided to Montis through OAuth;
- you may revoke the connection using available account controls; and
- revoking access may disable dependent Montis features.
You must only connect accounts that you are authorised to access.
07 · Third-party services
Montis depends on external platforms.
The Service may interact with or depend upon third-party providers, including:
- Intervals.icu;
- OpenAI;
- Anthropic;
- Google;
- Cloudflare;
- Railway;
- device and activity-data providers; and
- other supported integration services.
Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, availability commitments and technical rules.
Montis does not control third-party outages, API changes, model changes, source-data inaccuracies, account restrictions or discontinuation of external services.
08 · Athlete data
Your athlete data remains your data.
You retain your rights in athlete, training, wellness, activity and other personal information supplied by you or retrieved from accounts that you have authorised Montis to access.
You grant Montis the limited rights necessary to process that information for the purpose of providing, securing and operating the Service.
Processing of personal information is further described in the Privacy Policy.
09 · Paid services
Subscriptions and supporter access
Some Montis features may require a paid subscription, supporter status or other eligible membership.
Where a paid service is offered, the applicable price, billing period, included features and any renewal terms will be shown before purchase through the relevant payment or membership service.
- Fees are charged using the payment provider selected at purchase.
- Recurring subscriptions continue according to the billing terms shown at purchase.
- You may cancel recurring access using the applicable payment or membership service.
- Cancellation normally prevents future renewal but may not immediately end an already-paid access period.
- Refund rights are subject to the terms presented at purchase and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
Montis may change subscription features or prices for future billing periods. Material changes affecting an existing paid subscription should be communicated before they take effect where reasonably practicable.
10 · Accounts and security
Keep access credentials secure.
You are responsible for protecting devices, sessions, authentication credentials and connected accounts used to access Montis.
You must notify Montis if you reasonably believe your Montis access or connected account has been compromised.
Montis may invalidate sessions, revoke access or require reconnection where necessary to protect users, connected accounts or the Service.
11 · Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service.
You agree not to:
- access accounts or athlete data without authorisation;
- attempt to bypass authentication or security controls;
- abuse APIs, MCP endpoints, OAuth systems or service infrastructure;
- deliberately interfere with Service availability;
- introduce malicious software or harmful payloads;
- perform denial-of-service or abusive automated activity;
- misrepresent your authority to access another athlete's information;
- use the Service for unlawful purposes; or
- use the Service in a manner that materially harms other users or infrastructure.
Reasonable automated access through documented APIs and supported integrations is permitted subject to applicable access limits and policies.
12 · Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted where necessary.
Montis may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including for:
- material breach of these Terms;
- security or abuse concerns;
- unauthorised access;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- non-payment of a required subscription; or
- discontinuation of the relevant Service.
You may stop using Montis at any time and may disconnect supported third-party accounts using the available account controls.
13 · Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis.
Montis is continuously developed and depends on external systems. Accordingly:
- continuous availability is not guaranteed;
- the Service may contain defects or errors;
- features may be added, changed or removed;
- third-party integrations may stop working;
- maintenance may temporarily interrupt access; and
- services may be suspended or discontinued.
14 · Intellectual property and open source
Open-source software and Montis services are distinct.
Certain Montis software and documentation are made publicly available under open-source licences. Those materials may be used according to the licence included with the relevant repository or source distribution.
Unless expressly licensed otherwise, Montis names, logos, branding, website design, hosted-service content and other proprietary materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.
Third-party software, brands and services remain subject to the rights and licences of their respective owners.
15 · Warranties
No guarantee of a particular training outcome.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranties as to uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular training objective or achievement of a particular athletic outcome.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16 · Limitation of liability
Liability is limited only where the law permits it.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Montis and its operator will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance upon the Service, including losses connected with:
- training or competition decisions;
- performance outcomes;
- incorrect or incomplete source data;
- AI-generated content;
- third-party services or outages;
- loss or corruption of data; or
- Service interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
17 · Changes to these Terms
The Service and these Terms may evolve.
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to Montis functionality, legal requirements, subscriptions, third-party integrations or service operation.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
Where a material change significantly affects existing paid services or user rights, reasonable notice should be provided where practicable.
Continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
18 · Governing law
Swiss law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply.
Subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction provided by applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
19 · General provisions
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any specific terms displayed for paid services or integrations, form the agreement governing use of the Service.
