"What happens if I follow the current plan?"

The Calendar shows your planned training from Intervals.icu and projects your fitness, fatigue and form (CTL, ATL and TSB) day by day into the future. It is a forecast based on what is on your calendar, not a measurement of future physiology.

Open it

  1. Open the dashboard and pick the Calendar horizon.
  2. Choose how far ahead to look with the horizon buttons: 30D, 60D, 90D, 180D, 270D or 340D. The default is 30 days.
  3. Choose a view: ROLLED-UP (the default) or DAILY GRID.

The forecast always covers whole weeks, from Monday of this week to the Sunday after the horizon ends. If you pick a race in the app, the horizon widens on its own so the race and the week after it fit.

Reading the calendar

The Timeline Forecast (sunrise to sunset) chart runs across the top. It draws your projected form for each day, with a coloured ribbon showing the training phase of each week (for example Base, Build or Taper). Hover a day or a week to see the load and the form before and after.

View What it shows
ROLLED-UP One card per ISO week (Monday to Sunday): the week's phase, load, time, intensity and main zone. Tap a week to see its days.
DAILY GRID Every day laid out as a grid, with each workout on its own card.

Coaches working on an athlete always see the Rolled-Up view.

Each workout card shows a small picture of the workout's structure and its FORM BEFORE → FORM AFTER badges.

Clicking an item

  • Completed activity: opens the activity analysis.
  • Race (A, B or C): opens Readiness (Events) for that race.
  • Planned workout: opens the workout in an editor, where you can change it (SAVE CHANGES) or delete it.
  • + on a day: adds a workout to that day.

Sunrise and sunset

Every day has two form values.

  • Sunrise (sun icon, before): your state when you wake up. It is the previous day's sunset with one night of recovery applied.
  • Sunset (after): your state at the end of the day, once that day's planned load is added.

For today, the sunset value counts what you have already done plus what is still planned, so completed activities are not counted twice. When a day already has Intervals.icu fitness values (for example after a synced ride), Montis starts from those and adds only the planned load that comes after.

Where the load comes from

  • Each planned workout adds its own planned training load from Intervals.icu.
  • A planned workout that is already matched to a completed activity adds nothing extra.
  • If no load is found anywhere for the current week, the week's total falls back to the weekly target from the Montis engine.
  • The Calendar does not use or change the weekly target bar in Intervals.icu.

Phases come from the Montis engine where it has planned them. For weeks far ahead where the engine gives no phase, the app estimates one, so treat distant phases as a guide.

Moving a workout

Drag a workout to a different day. On a phone or tablet, press and hold the workout for about half a second, then drag.

Moves are saved straight away. The new date is written to your Intervals.icu calendar as soon as you drop it, with no confirm step. A message confirms the move.

Planning a camp or travel week

  1. Add the camp or trip workouts in Intervals.icu (or with the Montis Plan Builder), each with a planned load.
  2. Open the Calendar and pick a horizon that covers the camp and a few weeks after it.
  3. Check the sunset form across the camp week and the sunrise form on the days after it, so you can see how long recovery takes.
  4. Drag workouts to other days if the week looks too heavy, and watch the forecast update.

Terms

  • CTL: fitness, the 42-day training load average.
  • ATL: fatigue, the 7-day training load average.
  • TSB: form, fitness minus fatigue. Negative means tired, positive means fresh.
  • ISO week: a week that runs Monday to Sunday.
