Micro — Weekly Horizon
Answers:
"How is my current short-term training being executed and absorbed?"
The Weekly report uses high-resolution recent training data to examine short-term load and recovery.
It emphasizes:
- completed training;
- recent training load;
- intensity distribution;
- physiology and wellness;
- acute Performance Intelligence;
- current operational Training State;
- near-term coaching decisions.
Rolling 7 Days vs ISO Week
The Micro dashboard always uses a rolling 7-day window by design.
This is different from a fixed Monday-to-Sunday calendar week.
The purpose of the Micro horizon is to show the athlete's most recent seven days of training stress, recovery and execution, regardless of which day of the week the report is viewed.
For example, a Micro report viewed on Thursday includes the preceding Friday through Thursday rather than resetting at the start of the ISO week.
This allows Montis to evaluate the immediate effect of recent training without losing relevant load simply because a calendar boundary has been crossed.
ISO Week Context
Montis also preserves the current ISO training week separately.
The application can therefore show both:
- Rolling 7-day Micro — recent physiological and training-load context;
- Current ISO Week — Monday-to-Sunday planning, target load, completed load and remaining prescription.
These answer different questions.
Rolling 7 days
What training stress and recovery context have I experienced most recently?
ISO week
How am I progressing against this week's planned training?
The Overview and Micro views can both expose ISO-week planning context while the primary Micro analysis remains rolling 7 days.
Specific Weekly Report Dates
When using the Montis AI coaching interface or MCP reporting tools, a weekly report can also be requested from a specific start date.
This allows analysis of a fixed period such as an ISO week when required.
The default Dashboard Micro horizon, however, remains the rolling last 7 days.
See What You Can Ask the AI Coach for how to ask for a fixed week.
Crossing Training Phases
Because the Micro horizon is rolling, its seven-day window can sometimes include training from two adjacent phases.
For example:
- Build → Taper;
- Peak → Recovery;
- Recovery → Build.
This is intentional.
The Micro horizon describes the actual recent load experienced by the athlete, while phase detection and phase governance remain separate contextual layers.
Montis therefore does not force the recent seven-day physiological picture to reset simply because the calendar or training phase changed.
Longer Evidence Windows
A Weekly report may use longer baseline windows — for example HRV may be compared with a 42-day baseline — even though the report itself is focused on the current rolling seven-day period.
The longer window provides context for interpreting the current state; it does not change the report horizon.
What next
The What next panel, under phase governance and your target event, turns this week's decision into advice for today and the coming days. On a report from an earlier week it only explains why; refresh the report for today's advice. See What next?.
Ride Fatigue Resistance
The energy system part of this view can show how much of your normal cycling power you keep deep into long rides. It needs fatigued power curves set up in Intervals.icu.

Nutrition Availability
The Performance Intelligence column has a Nutrition Availability card that compares the carbohydrate you logged with what your training asked for. It needs a few days of logged carbs, protein and fat in Intervals.icu.
